As a modern art reference, the Wiedmann Bible's illustrations display the artist's unique style, which he developed in the 1960s called "Polycon," in which one picture flows into the next, seemingly without a beginning or an end. The pictures or panels are composed of geometric shapes that overlap, intertwine, and create images within images. His representation is refreshingly colorful, abstract, and contemporary.
As a Bible reference, the Wiedmann Bible is the only visual Bible translation of its kind. Many famous artists have painted biblical images; Wiedmann, on the other hand, painted 3,333 biblical paintings of the Old and New Testaments in 16 years.
