Painted Music - When Art Meets Music.
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, the time had finally come. Genesis, composed by Willy Wiedmann, was premiered in the Stuttgart Liederhalle in front of almost 2,000 spectators in the completely sold-out Stuttgart Liederhalle. The Cannstatt artist Willy Wiedmann was known for his many talents. He was not only a respected painter and gallery owner, but also a musician, composer and played double bass in the orchestra of the Württemberg State Theater in Stuttgart.
In his "Wiedmann Bible" he depicted the entire Bible in 3,333 hand-painted color panels with a length of 1.2 kilometers.
In July, eleven years after his death, his orchestral work "Genesis" was premiered by the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen under the direction of Prof. Jörg-Hannes Hahn - and accompanied by visual art. An immersive video installation by the light artist Laurenz Theinert accompanied the piece and invited the audience on a journey through the creation story.
The strictly limited Wiedmann Bible ART edition is the ideal Christmas present. At a one-time special price of €390 (list price €690) until December 31, 2024.
