Premiere:
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, the orchestral work “GENESIS” by Willy Wiedmann will be premiered in the Stuttgart Liederhalle by the Reutlingen Symphony Orchestra.
In addition, the internationally renowned light artist Kurt Laurenz Theinert will use his visual piano to illuminate Genesis, painted by Willy Wiedmann, throughout the hall.
Afterwards, the lively “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff will be played.
In his artist's house in Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt, my father not only painted, wrote and opened exhibitions, but was also a gifted musician who created his own compositions. It had long been my wish to present his musical interpretation of Genesis together with the corresponding images from the Wiedmann Bible. For the first time, his music and his creative art will be experienced in this unique combination. I am very excited about it, because I have never heard the music myself, as it requires an entire symphony orchestra. This project is particularly dear to my heart and I would be sincerely delighted if you would join me in this ambitious experiment.
